In all my years of hitting this lake I have never seen it look like that in the picture. Interesting. I may say I am not sure I would try that in a 2 wheel drive if you have a big boat. If you do hope there are other folks there to help. Many years ago I had a 2 wheel chevy and went to Squaw in like 15-20 degree temps and could not make it up the hill after it got wet. Got me a 4 wheel drive after that day and have never looked back. If any of you know the hill on Squaw you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The trick for me at that ramp has always been don't dip too deep! Keep the wheels above the break if at all possible, otherwise I can't get weight on the ball to keep the rear wheels of the truck firm

Looks like whoever is going soon needs to throw a flat blade shovel in the truck and donate a few minutes of their time. Not going any time soon or I would do it. Doesn't look like more than a few minutes work and shoveling a little sand is probably easier than helping someone get unstuck.

Mark, you shoud be fine. I am not going to call bs on some of the ( ramps unusable) posts on here but smells a little fishy to me. Also if you get stuck I'm sure there will be plenty of us wanting to get in or out of the lake to help out..

I don't guess there are any fisherman that work at the power plant that could use their tractors!!!

Fished it today. I've got a two wheel drive GMC panel van with 185 Triton. Never spun a tire. Absolutely no problem.

I just talked to a fishin buddy that fished it last Saturday. He said he launched on a new ramp that had been recently poured. No silt on it at all. Swore to it.

He said the road to the ramp is still rough but the parking lot, ramp approach and and ramp are all good.

Just be sure you trim up. There's a pretty good sand bar at the end of the ramp where everybody power loads.
