Me and my wife decided to take mom and dad fishing on Sam Rayburn the week of Thanksgiving. Mom has not been able to fish for a year and half due to battling cancer and dad not fishing and taking care of mom. She finally has beat cancer and is finally feeling better and she wants to go fishing. Any advice for that lake ? This will be the first time on this lake for us. I'm running Humminbird Helix's w/ SI on console and already have Boat Lanes installed ( Lake Fork 3 weeks ago ) We are staying at a house on the lake where highway 83 crosses the lake(NE side of lake) Anthony Harbor area I believe it's called. We would appreciate any advice. TAI , Jeremy

Go down to Powell Park and talk to the Owner/Operator he is very friendly and helpful they run crappie guided trips. You can launch there and fish the coves heading up the Ayish on the left. Also you can launch at 5 fingers and fish the under water point straight across from the ramp or the coves all around. That time of year is unknown to me, I do see Camo River guides on Youtube. They run out of Jackson Hill which is down hwy 147. The bass fishing up from Powell is really good, I fish for crappie in Veach Basin mostly and that is a boat ride from anywhere. Good luck.
