Are there any boat lanes on Bob Sadlin or places to avoid? I'm going next Friday for the first times and any help would be appreciated.

There are no lanes, but the center of the lake is fairly open. topic has been covered previously and if you search the site for Bob Sandlin running lanes, there is a map that shows where you can run. I'd just tell you to be very cautious!

Below 1st bridge is fine, I followed a person up the lake and got a decent trail, I did hit one in the middle between bridges. It's a bit spooky

I have entered all those waypoints and run the lake back in July with no issues... good map for that area of the lake.

That cut after the 21 bridge is crucial. big stump smack dab in the middle of the path if you don't cut over. You'll see it.

Other than that, pretty easy run across the lake.

I sure hope I do! How far from the bridge is it? And thanks for the heads up.

Immediate! Once under the bridge, angle towards the south shore

Take a look at Navionics, it shows the area where the timber starts, then you thread the needle..

He is correct.

Running Sandlin is a lot easier than Fork. There is a wide open path the entire length of the lake with just a few spots where you make adjustments.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Canโ€™t wait to get down there this weekend. Always been one of my favorite lakes to fish.

Yeah i would just idle under the bridge (pretty sure its the law anyway) and continue that idle til you feel comfortable that you're in the right spot. I believe there is an orange triangle on the bridge that shows you the lane. then just cut 90 degrees left and go about halfway down the bridge from there and cut back 90 degrees right.

They are if you convert them to the format your graph uses. There is a web calculator for that
https://www.latlong.net/degrees-minutes-seconds-to-decimal-degrees
Or
