As long as we're ragging on BBQ joints... Last time I ate at Black's in Lockhart it was a total sodium overload. I don't know how it is even possibly to get BBQ that salty. And it was the brisket and the ribs both. Sausage was OK.

I have never had good BBQ at Cooper's. I think most people say it's good because they overpaid for trash and are too afraid to own up to their mistakes.

Hard to argue.

I was thinking it might the day of the week thing. These ribs disproved the old saying, " the closer to the bone, the sweeter the meat." The meat didn't really just fall off the bone either, I had to hack it with a knife. If that weren't bad enough, the bbq sauce tasted like liquid smoke. I did notice that the ribs were gone from the yard this morning but not sure if raccoons ate it or just dragged them off the property and buried them. I still have that fake smoke taste in my system.

The next time I go to a bad BBQ place, I will assume this was lconn's place. I will also blame him for not warning me properly...
You need to out this terrible excuse for a BBQ joint so we can shame them, this is exactly what Al Gore invented the internet for.

AMEN!!!! I graduated HS in Llano in '93. Coopers was legit then. Not so much now. If you are in the area check out Southside in Cherokee. Reminds me of the old tyme coopers
