Had it done twice, once each side about 7 years apart. Worked both times but different injection med. Right was done 1st with Dexamethasone (at least 15 years ago) . Hurt like he11 when the deadening agent (marcaine)wore off an hour later. Doc friend did it at his house. Doc insisted I get a script for pain meds after the shot even though I had no pain. I had a 1 hour drive home and I stopped 10 minutes into the drive at a 24hr Walgreens and picked up my Tylenol #4 and popped one. Popped another when I got home. Woke up the next AM and never another pain there.

About 7-8 years later the other elbow acted up and went to one of ortho guys (The other doc had passed). Got Kenalog. Same experience except it took 3-4 days for the pain to go away totally.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I had this problem years ago. Thought myself to cast with my left hand and never had the problem again. For short term though go ahead and rub it with Icy Hot and wrap it with a heating pad, get a stretch band and start pulling on it . I hope this helps.

You are talking about his arm, right?

Sounds to me like y'all are doing to much master baiting and not enough fishing

For less than $20.00 get you some Magnesium Chloride Flakes, some distilled water and make up some Magnesium Oil, you
might be really, really suprised.

Go to the doctor ask for a prescription for Voltarin gel.

Pay your $50.00 for the tube and apply. I have been using it for years on (lipless crankbaits) days.

Pain will be reduced or gone in less than 30 minutes. Apply it 1st thing when you have loaded the boat and it will ease the pain quickly.

I Googled it sound like a lot of potential side effects but I will ask my Doc about it.

Ive had the shots for a while and then surgery in both arms. The shots are a temp fix most likely. At first they lasted me 3-4 months then it was down to 2 weeks. They probably do more damage than good once you get them more than once a year.

Still have it flare up, I try to fish techniques that arent so hard on my arms. Like with a spinning rod a lot.

The strap does help I wear them on both arms at times.

Texting and even typing on the computer flares up my tennis elbow and carpal tunnel on both hands.

Sadly, people refuse to believe that there is something out there that actually works, Butch. I was the same way, got beyond desperate, and spent the $300. It kept me from going through surgery again and was the best money I've ever handed over.

I helped my father in law demo his pool 3 days with a jack hammer wrecked my elbows. Dealt with pain for months, couldn't sleep sometimes. Did what is on this youbtube video and in a few days it was gone. Doing this in the shower with very hot water running over the effected area works very well. https://youtu.be/Csb91xr0x00
