Is this new trail going to allow jackpotting? PTT would have worked if they had made everyone pay the year's entry fees up front, like Pack and I did. We got taken for a ride on that PTT deal. Was presented as the same 100 teams for the full year. Rayburn boys jackpotted the first one and most never showed for another. Same with the RayBob event. I still have a bad feeling toward the organizers of that PTT train wreck. As for freezing your butt off in the back of the boat, probably a good idea. We ran 45 miles north the first morning of the Rayburn tourney. About the coldest and most miserable I've ever been. Ended up with frost bitten finger tips after day two.

There is no pre-qualificaiton requirements, just send in your resume and they will select 125 anglers based on your resume....so it appears anyone has a chance based on their credentials....sure you are going to get some stick in there, why would you not, you need publicity....they are paying down to 44th, so 1/3 gets paid and all 125 fish all 3 days, not just a cut on the final day

Sounds like they already have a full field of angler applications.

Well 30,000 a year just in tournment fees plus another 5,000 in travel exspense (guesstimation) your in it for 35,000 min. You would need a very good full time job with very flexible hours sounds If I had to guess I would say you need to make 100,000 a year to afford this trail. If you say sponsors pay for it then how can you have a full time job with any sponsor commitment. It seems to me you will have a very hard time making that work in the real world at least the one I live in. Maybe some can but 125 people. Not saying it wont work I just dont think the working man will be the ones filling out the field. So if not the working man then who? A bunch of guys that have the cash and a few sticks that'll clean up Guys who don’t have regular jobs but have cash or a lot of credit . J D
I got all day I’m retired

Schedule it around the around the Big 3 and I'll bet they'll get some of the bigger names.
I would like to see some events on the national tours go to the West Coast too.

Owners annual gross profit from entry fees only after all payouts = $619,000. If you factor in them getting some sponsorship cash, minus their expenses, they probably won't starve. Clearly I’m in the wrong business.... X2

The endorsements and media incentives will be where they pick up more revenue but in a seemingly saturated market already it will be interesting to see who signs on as title sponsors. Toyota has shown their loyalty.
