The snap is an easy fix. Wal-Mart has repair kits in the camping section also in the sewing section. I have the same charger and really like it! Wiring looks clean too good job cheers

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve posted much more n the little Jon. I’m currently adding a removable rod rack to the rear so I can go catfishing. [Linked Image]

I really like that rod rack Shaun! Nice clean looking job sir. And that's from an aluminum tig welder and metal fab person. thumb

Bet you could place an elevated light bar with lights facing both sides out over the water in that center section for night fishing too. Or even an LED strip on the back side of the rectangular tube so you'd ge no back-shine into the boat. I mounted 1100 lum LED spots to the corners of mine where your seat bases are. Makes backing down a ramp in the dark real easy in the dark. But they double as area lights when setting dequees out for duck hunting and fishing. grin

Thanks. I’m planning on placing some led’s on the bar somewhere. It would be nice to show the rods at night. And a little light shining on the fish being brought out in at the edge and of the boat.

What color did you use?

They are white spotlight, maybe 2-3 inches in diameter lens. I remember in the specs that the beam was over 900 feet each. Also have a "circular" amber setting that highlights the lens face in the housing. But it's not near as bright. Kinda reminds me of parking lights on the amber side of the 3 way rocker switch. Came with a heavy-duty cord and switch that can be mounted remotely. Got them at TSC when they were on sale. I don't remember their name. But they were slightly lower grade than some others. Think they were something around $48. I was kinda skeptical about buying them. But am very satisfied with them now. They also have a good IP rating in the 60s if I remember right, which is another plus for those of us on the water a lot. Next time I'm in TSC, I'll take a look at the name again. I saw some on their website by Lazer. But they were over $200 for that pair. These look like those. But I didn't pay that much for them. They have the word "Traveler" on the side.

Finely found a pic of the light to upload. Got one on each side. Beam is good for over 900 feet.

Thanks for posting your experiences. I really enjoy a boat rigging story. I did a similar thing with a Grumman "work boat" back in the early 80s. It gives you an opportunity to rig out a boat to exactly suit your own needs.

Shaun, I predict there are going to be lots of fish brought over the sides of that little boat?
