Hi all,
I have visited the Colorado River this weekend for a little fishing. The weather was a bit chilly with that 8 Celsius but the water was nice. The carps were biting quite nicely. at least this is how i felt for the first time. I caught 15+ carps (common/grass) and the average weight was around 15lb. I caught around 7 common weight between 17 - 20lb. Sometimes the carps came as a couple
There were 2 surprises.
1) this is more a funny story. So i had a strong catch on one of my rod and when i raised the rod the line just teared due to mussels, i guessed. I felt it ws a nice fish. Anyway i was quite angry for a while. BUT 3 hours later i caught a carp with my previous hook
I can not believe that this carp came back, was feeding and i caught it. What are the ods?
It never happened to me before. I was laughing a lot. I attached a picture for that.
2) the carp size started to increase each by each. the place became extremely promising. Then a beautiful guest arrived. my PB grass carp in the US. A beautiful
32 lb grass carp. I cant express how happy i was. When I started to fish there my target was 1 carp
It became a fantastic weekend and time.
After this i was thinking who knows what else will surprise me. Well it turned out quiet fast when the first 2 jet ski arrived and a boat around 1:30 pm. I got nothing after that point and basically every 20 minutes something was going through. A guy even started to jump into the river in front of me from the boat. I could not decide that he cant see me that i am fishing or just did not care. Anyway this time i missed a bit Europe where no one using boats etc on the fishing lakes.
1 more thing. Last time i forgot to mention that i am using Feeder rods. I have added picture as well. I read an old topic that someone was curious about it. Maybe it is interesting a bit. Iam using 2 rods. that is the practice in Hungary .I have never used 3 rods in a time. I have tried out now for fun. My rods are 3.6M and 3.9M. I think other would say 12" and 13". Both Heavy feeder and i am using 4 OZ tips.
