I am from Hungary and I am looking for places where i can do carp fishing from the bank. I am living in Houston. Do you know any good place? for example Lake Houston? is it good?
Also do you have any advise to find any spot easier? there are not too many park usually and everything else is private so it is quite time consuming to look around a safe and public place where i can fish a good one.
I have tried a few Bayou and lakes but looking for more. If there would be any where the carps reach 30+ lb that would be awesome.
Till that here a few pic what i took recently. I caught 18 carps and the largest was 20lb. The smallest was 10 lb. It was a fun day.

Awesome fish! Welcome to the TFF. I don't know anyone off hand that lives in Houston but I've got some friends who might know a spot or two. 30+ Carp are hard to find most anywhere here in Texas!
Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp... https://txmultispecies.imgur.com/

well, I am crazy about carps therefore from my side: it is only catch and release.
Is there any competition which is worth to visit for fun and community? 6-8 hours or even a few days long one? I saw a few video on YouTube and found a few pages but all of them 2-5 years old. Here i saw some post about this topic. is there team competition? any pdf regarding rules? Any community building fishing events?

Glad to hear you're so passionate about Carp! There are two main clubs here in America which promote Carp angling, the American Carp Society (ACS) and the Carp Angler's Group (CAG). Both hold events and tournaments all over America, as an example here in Texas ACS holds the Mill Creek Cup every year and CAG holds the Austin Team Championship. Both clubs also hold smaller events throughout the year to hang out and catch fish. Personally I'm a member of both and I try to make it to every event! Our last one for the ACS was at Lake Ray Hubbard (Lake Ray Hubbard ACS Event) and our next one for CAG here in North Texas will likely be for 2-3 days at Lake Fork. I'll put some links below to both for ya.

Lake Conroe has lots of carp. Getting to them can be a challenge without a boat but it is possible. Most of the lake north of the 1097 bridge is national forest and open to anyone. Use Google Maps to locate forest roads (204a, 215, 234a, etc..) roads leading to the water. Most mornings and evening carp will feed on the surface in various coves. Peach Creek, Sandy Creek, etc. There's a nice cove with easy access just 100 yards south of Cagle National Park. There's a walking trail to it. Also the rocks either side of the 1375 bridge. I fly cast for carp in these areas with good success but from a boat. One word of caution though, from now though December the forest areas will be full of deer hunters and duck season later in the month. The park and bridge are off limits to hunters.

I travel all over Houston and see a lot of the bayous .there is a bayou that SPUR 5 goes across and it’s south of wheeler street. There is also a Mac Greggor park here at this location . I seen ALOT ! Of big carp every time I go there . They usually are feeding on small bugs and debris on top water .
