Only ever tried crawfish. It worked ok. Caught one fish on it while I caught 5 on nightcrawlers.
This was some years ago and in a different state. But it convinced me that natural baits were better than store-bought even then.

Weldon Kirk Fish Tales Guide Service might be the man to ask about CJ's bait. He has caught a few on it. I asked Weldon this morning what his fish count was. For 2019, his boat has accounted for 4500 plus fish. Since 2008 his boat has accounted for 65,500 plus fish. That is consistent! All Weldon uses is CJ's so he might know a little more than others.

I voted for the CJ'S Monster bait only because I happen to have three of the gallon containers on hand right now. When that is gone it will be shad.

They also have a Skip Jack Punchbait. My favorite is the Fusion bait. It's a cross between a Punchbait and a dip bait.
