Access to Collin Park is $3 per vehicle and $3 per person. They do accept card or cash. If you come early in the day you might be able to avoid the charge!

We've got prizes! Everyone who comes will be getting a random bit out of the ACS goodie bag and we'll be giving away prizes for fish captures as well! - Biggest Common Carp wins a bag of ACS Asterbury Creme boilies - they catch loads! - Biggest Smallmouth Buffalo will win a jar of ACS Asterbury Creme Paste, great to wrap around any hookbait or even by itself - Biggest unique variety of Carp (such as a Ghost Carp, Mirror Carp, or Koi) will win the ACS Asterbury Creme Spray. In the event a unique fish does not come out, this prize will go to the Smallest Common Carp caught during the day

Weather looks gorgeous for the event tomorrow! 61 and sunny. Ground is kind of muddy right at the water's edge, boots, waders, or just shoes that you don't mind getting dirty are recommended. The rest of the bank is super nice though! Can't wait to meet everyone and get ya'll on some fish

Here's my bait for tomorrow! It's a grits base with a bit of old fashioned oats and sweet feed. Plenty of sugar, crab and crayfish boilies crushed up with a healthy dose of chili powder. These fish won't know what hit 'em!

Had a blast Saturday meeting all the new faces! Slow but steady action allowed us to get a few newbies on some fish, unfortunately the fish didn't really start to move in until after 3PM. One upside to slower action - we had plenty of time to familiarize everyone with the whats, hows, and whys of Carp fishing! Ricky with the first Buffalo of the day! Ricky with his personal smallest Buff Pieter with the largest Carp caught that day - 10lbs on the nose. Chunky! Brian's first catch of the day Another gorgeous Buffalo for Pieter Jeremy with his first ever Carp! 8lbs 12oz Chris and his wife with a double! Pieter at it again with a decent Buff Donovan with the smallest Carp of the day - 2lbs 4oz Pieter with another! Phil with his first ever Smallmouth Buffalo - 14lbs 4oz of hard fighting beauty! Chris with another Buffalo! And another! A gorgeous Buff for Donovan Pieter with the biggest Buffalo of the day - 22lbs. Cool Helix pattern on this one! Dakota with his first ever Smallmouth Buffalo (caught on purpose!) and his new PB of 18lbs 4oz! Making and breaking PBs! This dark beauty ran just a bit heavier than the last at 18lbs 8oz. Thanks to all for coming out - I wish the fish were a bit more active in the morning when everyone was there but that's fishing for ya! Here's hoping that our next event is even bigger with more and bigger fish
