Skimmed through 2020 BASS Opens Rules. Extremely specific rules (Pro's B.A.S.S logo must be touching to L or R collarbone). No nets as well
Any thoughts?

Their organization. Their rules. Neither seem terribly out of line or excessive.

I hate nets. Refuse to use them. Lost more big fish from fighting with net then not having one at all

I don't have an issue with no nets. I like it as well, I don't have to worry about missing someone's fish. Was just curious if anyone thinks any rules are odd or too specific.

I prefer nets, especially when fishing deep

They've had the no net rule for several years now. I think it was 2013 or 14 they changed it. One less thing to worry about for each angler(how well someone else can or can't net!!).
The logo rule had to stem from anglers blatant disregard for not displaying a B.A.S.S patch while weighing in fish. Chris would get so irritated with it as anglers didn't care but you are crossing their stage. Ah well those hats sucked anyways lol!!:-)

BASS will allow you to carry a net, only you can't use it to net bass. They let you carry one so that you can handle things like this: a big grass carp that ate a LC 1.5 crankbait and I wanted it back. This was in an Open on Grand a couple of years ago. I guess Grand doesn't grow much grass and they get hungry

Makes landing big girls a little more challenging but no nets has been a BASS rule for a lot of years. As far as the logo it's their tournament.
