Thinking of going next Tuesday but don't want to drive 2 hours each way for nothing. So are there any good reports floating around?

Just fished it this weekend, we caught about 25 a day, out of the 50 fish 15 were keepers, biggest was 4 pounds. Most fish were 12-16 inches, nothing on top water, 8ft was the best bite on the outside edges of the grass.talked to some tournament fishermen that were catching fish near us and they were using purple ribbon tail worms, we were using brush hawgs ca420 dyed tails and black blue fleck on a shakey head.

Thanks Farrside....headed there next week, was hoping the grass situation was good. Pretty thick mats this time of year?

The whole lake is full of grass

I was there a couple of week’s ago. Twice, if that means anything.

Go and have fun. Lots of 2-3 pounders and some up to 5.

Apparently the bass fishing has gone to hell temporarily again. I’m guessing the fish might be out chasing the bait fish or something. I asked some guys that were fishing a bass club what their winning weight was and it was 12lbs for 2 days of fishing....

I’m off this week and plan to try it tomorrow. I was hoping the cooler weather might help. I know post front isn’t usually the best time to fish, but it can’t get much worse than it has been.
I’ve never fished Choke. Anybody got any tips?

After yesterday, no sir. As I mentioned earlier, I think the bass are moving out and chasing baitfish. If you don’t mind catching whatever bites, then tie on a jigging spoon and work some of the points and pond dams, I caught quite a few gaspergoo yesterday doing that and even had 2 catfish hit my spoon.

I put a Livescope setup on my boat last week and mainly want to try that. Thought I would try fishing brushpiles for crappie if bass aren’t biting, but I’m open for anything. Livescope seems perfect for jigging.
