High water killed it again. Tough bite right now. Lake is getting tremendous pressure. I think we've seen the peak last year.

Grass is returning. in the back of creeks and in areas of the larger basins. Mid lake has an area with tons of grass as deep as 8'. with lots of fish biting.

I took my daughter out yesterday afternoon for a couple hours fish just north of the canyons. We didn’t do good at all. I caught one 3 lber and that was it. The grass is returning in the back of the creeks. With the fronts starting to come in, the fishing should pick up.

I'm hearing good reports. As always with Rayburn it's all about location. They hardly ever bite the same across the whole lake

Last weekend when the big front hit my dad and I fished the Sealy tournament. We caught probably 40 plus fish biggest were right at 3.5 lbs. Main lake points and ridges a few flats mixed in with 10" worms and big spinnerbaits. If you catch one there are likely more around so run and gun till you find them then slow down. They are following the bait. One hour they may be in 20 feet of water then be up 5-8'. Canyons to Caney is where we fished.

Your right there!! I’ve fished for hours with nothing.. make it around a bend with the wind just right and catch 50 in an hour. Did that that year on Thanksgiving weekend. 3 to 5 lbers. Even caught a double on a crank bait. They really stack up sometimes.

Headed to Big Sam on Nov 1, hope the bite is still on and expect water temps to drop significantly between now and then with the next two fronts.

Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

The bait is scattered in deep water. I did see a bunch of bait moving into the pockets in the evenings following the creek channels. Maybe next week the bass will herd them in shallow.

I cant work today it's rainin. I'm goin fishin.

The bite at Rayburn has been good in areas where there is no grass as well. There are good fish to be found away from the grass just the same as in it right now. A very big key is to just cover as much water as you can.
