Anyone have any suggestions for a lake somewhat in between Houston and Dallas? Me and a buddy are thinking about meeting up somewhere and so far all we have really come up with is Athens. Not sure how great Athens is fishing at the moment though.

Thanks everyone. Gonna hit Fairfield. Almost smack-dab in the middle and apparently its been hot lately so that's even better. That lake has never really been on my radar.

Houston County Lake by Crockett. Almost exactly 1/2 way(Centerville is 1/2 way on I45. Beautiful little lake.
