When he was given the voice to defend freedom and democracy in China, Lebron took a good look at how it would affect his bank account and decided those things were good for him but really not important for the Chinese people. In my opinion, it makes me doubt his sincerity concerning other “stands” he has taken in the past. Might want to follow his money.

the Lebron hatred I just don't understand? He has never been in trouble with the law, a role model, and really doesn't say anything controversial? If he did cocaine and hookers and maybe a baby momma thrown in he would be loved. I agree..... he made a stupid comment about China, kind of shows he may not be all that smart, but no reason for the mass amounts of hatred thats come from it. Dude is as much of a true professional and role model as you will find anywhere in pro sports today.

I have a feeling the NBA will be having their NFL moment and ratings will drop tremendously. How much of the NBA fan base will care?

I’ve been saying it for years: Lebron is the best basketball player on the planet (or was for a decade) but his personality sucks and he is an idiot. Skilled in sports doesn't necessarily mean intelligence.

Seems to me that the only people who think politics belong in sports is the players and a few coaches. History tells us in rarely goes well for the player or the sport. I hope that trend holds true.

Skilled in sports doesn't necessarily mean intelligence. True. I don’t think he is stupid or unintelligent. I think he is an idiot in how he speaks and acts on certain topics.

Believe this LeBron:
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

That’s not why ratings are down for the NBA, I don’t think. I'm not an NBA fan, but I'm sure seeing the same few teams in the Finals every year isn't helping

I'm not an NBA fan, but I'm sure seeing the same few teams in the Finals every year isn't helping Lebron not being in the finals (or playoffs for that matter) last year was a big part of it. But in general, fewer people have cable now and fewer are watching sports (millennials).
