When he was given the voice to defend freedom and democracy in China, Lebron took a good look at how it would affect his bank account and decided those things were good for him but really not important for the Chinese people. In my opinion, it makes me doubt his sincerity concerning other “stands” he has taken in the past. Might want to follow his money.

It’s all about the money. His contributions to a better society are pocket change to him.

I agree..... he made a stupid comment about China, kind of shows he may not be all that smart, but no reason for the mass amounts of hatred thats come from it. Dude is as much of a true professional and role model as you will find anywhere in pro sports today.

2% and they aren’t the fans the NBA is after anyway. That’s not why ratings are down for the NBA, I don’t think.

Skilled in sports doesn't necessarily mean intelligence.

Seems to me that the only people who think politics belong in sports is the players and a few coaches. History tells us in rarely goes well for the player or the sport. I hope that trend holds true.

True. I don’t think he is stupid or unintelligent. I think he is an idiot in how he speaks and acts on certain topics.

I'm not an NBA fan, but I'm sure seeing the same few teams in the Finals every year isn't helping

Lebron not being in the finals (or playoffs for that matter) last year was a big part of it. But in general, fewer people have cable now and fewer are watching sports (millennials).
