Got home just as the skies opened up on us Tuesday evening. Once the rain quit I thought I would take my kayak out on the Pedernales arm of Lake Travis and see if the bass were feeding at the mouth of Lick Creek. Didn't find any action there so I paddles further up the creek. Caught several small LMB on flukes floating them by laydowns in the water. Switched to a black/blue jig with a June Bug colored Zoom Speed Craw. The bite was much slower but the results were much nicer. I worked the timber along the breaks all the way back out to the mouth of the creek. 6 really solid LMB - 1 @ 22", 2 between 17-18" and 3 over 16". Lost 3 other nice bass at the boat. Off the water right at dusk with one bass for dinner.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama
