Regarding Bois D'arc Reservoir: anyone know if there is a good place to get a glimpse of the dam construction? I want to see the progress but don't want to drive an hour and a half just to find that the whole area is locked down.
Thanks! Sign up for the updates. https://boisdarclake.org/Bois d'Arc Lake Construction Update - September 2019

The new lake will be continually low except in wet years.
Very low to no flow in Bois D'arc creek except in wet years.
The only reason Lake Bonham maintains reasonable levels is because its very small. One good storm is all it needs.
A 16k acre lake is a different story. Dry years will mean dry boat slips.
NTMWD should also look into the function of the Bonham WWTP. Raw sewage down the creek is common in wet events. You guys look at the positive side. At least Texas has enough forward thinking people to build new lakes. There are a lot of states out West that only wish they had the water supply & fishing that our great state has.

Named after the main creek that runs through it Heard from a landowner that it would not be open to traffic for first couple of .years because of all the logs that will be floating in it
