Live 5 mins from it Bet its gonna be another mudhole like cooper lake. They cutting all the timber out from the dam to as far as you can see south Not leaving any trees on the creeks.

Dan Bennett will be speaking at the Kennedale Youth Outdoors Convention at the Performance Arts Center on Jan. 11th on both lakes. Plan this event on your calendar now! Admission is $11 in advance, or $15 at the door.

9:00am-9:45 Bob Barnette and the Texas Youth Hunting Program.
10:00-10:45- THSBA
11:00-11:45- Dan Bennett Bois D’Arc Lake and Ralph Hall Reservoir
12:15-2:15- Gary Klein and Steven Bardin- Major League Fishing and Bass Brigade
2:30-3:00- Kyle Brookshear TPWD Sharelunker Program
3:15-4:00- Steve Hall- Student Air Rifle Competitions and Hunter Safety
4:15-5:00- Texas Brigades Youth Camps
5:15-6:00- NASP, Explore Bowhunting, Explore Bowfishing
6:15-7:00- Deborah Wade ATHENS Frwshwater Fishery Center

This convention will have booths in the lobby for 1 on 1 interaction with pro GT and your kids may be interested in. I will make a post on it when the online ticket sale site is up and running. Proceeds go to benefit the Kennedale Outdoor Education programs.

You guys look at the positive side. At least Texas has enough forward thinking people to build new lakes. There are a lot of states out West that only wish they had the water supply & fishing that our great state has.

Named after the main creek that runs through it Heard from a landowner that it would not be open to traffic for first couple of .years because of all the logs that will be floating in it
