I like to fish on a new or quarter moon. Seems like with less light at night the fish would not feed as much
and therefore bite better during the day. What say you?

I think the moon has a lot of affect on fish. That being said.. my job, family, ect has the biggest affect on my fishing times. So I don’t even look. I just go fishing if I can get away. Lol

I do mostly around the time of spawning season. The first full moon as the waters hit 68+* gets them starting to stage for the baby making sessions.

I also believe in the barometric pressures as well. There's a sweet spot that I prefer to fish in, that coupled with the moon phases can make for some epic days. I know it's not by luck, maybe confidence???

What do you do when they are all laying down in one pasture and all standing up in the next.

I watched the lunar tables very closely for a couple of years. I couldn't find any correlation to what time the fish would bite based off of the tables. I fish mainly fresh water and I don't think lake levels are effected very much from the moons gravitation. I'm sure the moon has a greater effect on the coast as tides go up and down because of moon positioning. just my opinion, tight lines.

I can tell if there is a fish in a lay down by looking at it. If I see a spider running for cover I know there is something down there looking at him. roflmao

Zero. Just like low and high pressure. I fish when I can/want. Tournaments usually don’t take in consideration either.

Combinations of techniques and intel makes for a better than average day of fishing . I am a solid believer of barometric pressure and how drastic changes affect a fishes swim bladder. Their is a solunar forecast online that is available for free that has some merit as well. Wind direction, not so much ! Wind speed can affect how you fish, however I believe that the wind is your friend, pushes plankton , baitfish and target fish follow.
A good understanding of bait fish and your target fish is a must, combine all the above referenced intel from others, interpolate and get out on the water.

Nope, just like they can see my braid, and no such thing as pressured or they've seen these baits before.Nonsense.

Are you less hungry when it's darker outside?
