Please note that this Game-Shok Bird Shot ammo is a 22 Long Rifle load and is not designed to cycle in semi-automatic guns. ?????????????
Received this from a THF member
It's not "designed to" but it will cycle. It will in some and not in others. I use it in a Walther P22 and it cycles fine but when I tried it in my buck mark and sig mosquito it would not. I have a friend that uses it in a Ruger and it cycles good. I’ve never tried it in a rifle.

You can buy non-lethal rounds for a shotgun. Those ought to do the trick.

if you've got a 12 gauge, get you some #9 shot, use your skeet or imp. cylinder chokes...if you just want to sting them real good...back off about 50 yards and blister them.....

If you can find a set (they're discontinued) RCBS used to make a die set for .45 ACP shot loads (I used #9 shot, but only because I was loading a few bazillion skeet loads a month) that would cycle in a 1911. I told a buddy about them and he just found a set on fleabay. IIRC the RCBS part number was 55000. You also need .410 shot cup wads and .38 caliber gas checks. You can cut down .243 or .308 cases, but .45 Win Mag brass works best, because of the wider extractor groove. They will greatly extend your range over the rimfire 'dust' (# 12 shot) loads. I wouldn't try them on doves at 40 yards though.........

At 10 ft. they won't feel it, the noise will do more than the shot
