Well we had the first front of the year blow in yesterday and I was
kinda worried about how the fish were going to react, they bit!!
We had 30-40 fish and a few shots at some nice one that we
couldn’t close the deal on. The lakes at 35 ft low and unfortunately falling.
Most of our fish came out of brush piles in 18-20 ft on trigged big bite fighting frogs and
Cranking ledges with spro dd70’s in citrus shad. I have plenty of open dates and also

Nice report. Hope they’re still biting when I go down in a couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to our trip.

Wrapped up a couple of days with Mike and Jerry.
We had a pretty good trip, caught around 80+ fish
and had 33-34 lbs on our best five today. Mike had our
big fish of the trip, a 8.37 lb beaut. Most of our fish came
deep 18-20ft on trigs. We did have a 7.32 in like 1 ft of water
on a spro shallow running cb. I’m starting to catch some real
shallow, the majority are small but not all of em. We’ve had really
good lake rises the last couple of years in the fall but it’s not
looking like it this go round, I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
The lake is right at 36ft low and falling. I’ve got plenty of open
dates and fish/hunt or whitetail hunts with accommodations available.

The slow time of yr and the deer season had me off the lake for a bit.
I made it out today and the fishing is pretty darn good, numbers are ok and
quality fish are biting. I spent some time up shallow as this mild winter has the water temp
around 67 but with not much luck. The fact that we had no rise this fall still has the fish “out”
not main lake summer stuff but about half way bk in the creeks. All of my fish were in
8-12ft with the boat in 18-20. The only positive on the lake not rising is that it’s not falling
either, we are still sitting at around 35 1/2 ft low. Ramps at both ends still in use. I have
plenty of open dates, don’t make me go at it alone. In case I don’t post before the new year

Had Casey and Rudy today, Rudy flew in from Florida for a crack
at a PB and well he did it twice. He had a 7.87 then about 1/2 an hr
later caught a 10 lber. We had 37 lbs on our best 5. December is starting
to become one of my favorite months on Falcon and it’s always my slowest trip wise. The lake is 36ft low
and water temps are in the low 60’s. Ramps on both ends still working. I have dates for
Jan and Feb available but they’re booking quick.

The fishing here on Falcon has been a grind for the most part,
low water and water temp drops seem to be the biggest factor.
When things stabilize the lake will show off some, like today. I had
a couple of Colorado boys with me and their day was great.
We had 32-33 lbs on our best 5 and numbers were good. We still caught
all pre spawn fish deep(12-15 ft) on secondary points. Water temps are in the low
60’s and the lake level is 37 ft low. I haven’t been down to the state park, recently
but I would guess the ramp is about done down there, the county ramp is still fine.
I have about 10 open dates in early feb if anyone is interested in coming down.

The fishing has been good,we caught 60 yesterday but with the front that
blew in we only landed 22 today but with a couple of nice ones. There are
some fish showing up shallow but you can still catch some out deep. Crankbaits
have been catching most our fish both shallow and deep. Plenty of dates open in March

The lakes been holding steady at just under 38ft low and when we get warm weather
the fishing’s been good. These fish are ready and as soon as we get a stretch of stable temps
it’s gonna get crazy. I’ve been catching them shallow for a while, 5ft and less, and had a 9.12 today.
I have the first week of March completely open, let’s go fishing!!

Falcon sure kicked out some fish today, Ty and Nick came down for their senior trip looking for a double digit fish and Falcon did not disappoint. Ty caught a 10.53 pound Falcon beauty to go along with some other nice fish. We boated 30 plus with around 30 lbs on our best five. Most of our fish came shallow 3 to 6 foot of water, water temperature is in the high 60s and the lake is on a slow rise having come up about a foot in the last few days. We are sitting at 37 foot low and both ramps are good again. I have a few dates open in late March and some in April but April will fill up so don’t wait too long to book.
