it was a bust. fished all morning with a tandum flounder rig with no takers. switched to a popping cork with a finger mullet looking for reds and guess what? a 13 1/2" flounder. go figger. 3 too small trout, 1 too small red. a sting ray and a 3-4' gar. still better than Sunday morning tv.

I assume your tandem rigs were with arti's . Colors ? What kind ? I use a standard Carolina rig with either finger mullet or mud minnows. For Reds....same rig with cut bait. Ya gave it a try tho.

Gonna wait til the 3rd cool front thats supposed to come in on 22nd. Try seawolf on that Friday and see what happens.
I've been told to wait 2 to 3 days after front comes in, then hit the flounder. What truth there is to that I don't know, but it will be 3 days after front comes in, so will see I guess.
Of course fronts here in SE Texas only last 2 to 3 days usually, then back up to 90° again. I usually Carolina rig mud minnows, shrimp or finger mullet as well. Don't use shrimp much any more though for them, to many trash fish seem to get to it first. And also use the GULP swimming mullet in tandem rig. White and chartreuse are my go to colors pretty much all the time. Sometimes I use the nuclear chicken and new penny shrimp as well.
