So the GF is going to Lima for 10 days with a group of her girlfriends. Two of them are from there, they go home to visit each year and talked the whole gaggle into going to visit Mochupichou (I did not look up how to spell that) and other tourists stuff.

Anyone been? Any tips I should pass on to her? Anything cool I should ask her to bring me back? I dont know much about Peru.

I am assuming its safe. I feel ok about that part of it since there are 6 girls going and two are from there and she has a direct both ways with American Airlines not some random 3rd world airline... When I hear about "dangerous" places to go Peru does not come up.

Also I have 10 days to myself so I plan to be drunk and smoking most the time ha ha.

I'm here right now.
Seems pretty safe. My wife is from here and she only carrys a purse that she can wear across her or like today, she is wearing something that looks like a nice fancy pack but the pack is in the front.

My son went there last year - said the seafood was outstanding. Mountains there are very high, so hopefully altitude sickness does not become a problem.

If those are hard to come by, some Brazilian, Columbia, or other up tops will work

Nah, she has that Sherpa blood. Her people have more white blood cells than most. She will be fine.

Yes, we're in Mira Flores this weekend then headed to Cusco Monday morning. Machu Picchu on Tuesday and the Sacred Valley on Wednesday.

That's on my list of things to eat in Cusco. I'll post pics of that next week.
