Now in the business of finding my next boat. I'm really wanting a deep vee aluminum hull. The only problem is that in my area the majority of the ones for sale are the Tracker Targa boats. I have my eye on a 2015 Targa, 18' with a 150 Merc 4 stroke that just had its 100 hour service performed. My main fish species will be cats and crappie. Looking for opinions. This boat is listed at 20k with a almost new engine. Lunds, Polar Crafts, and Crestliners just aren't that popular in Alabama or Tennessee.

Deep V aluminum was on my short list of boats. I’ve never been on a Tracker Targa, so I can’t comment positive or negative other than it seems like Targa is a step above their Pro-V line. If you wanted to expand your search...After looking through ads a long time, other brands that caught my attention were:

Lund
Alumacraft
Alumaweld
Crestliner
Polar Kraft
Starcraft
Lowe
G3 Angler
Kingfisher
Sylvan
Fisher
Sea Ark
Smokercraft
Weldcraft

Those are on my search list as well. The G3 is popular here. I like the Smokercraft but the only close ones for sale are the pontoon boats. If I wanted a bass boat, I would have hundreds of choices on used boats.
