A group of us from our office will be taking a small trip out to Lake Lewisville the end of October on a pontoon rental. Many of my co-workers have never been fishing or caught a fish. I was thinking about maybe
doing a little trolling for whites or hybrids while cruising around the lake so they could get the experience.

I am not looking for any honey holes or special spots but any suggestions for areas around Little Elm Creek or Hidden Cove Park areas would be greatly appreciated.

Water temp will be key. Try the gravel pits first. Troll bite will be over FYI

Just trying to get a few people the experience of catching a fish. Have always had some luck trolling even if it's just stragglers.

Where exactly are the gravel pits? I am not too familiar with Lake Lewisville except where a few ramps are.

Thanks for the info.

I’m pretty lazy and this has been discussed before.

If you're trolling, you may want to try the golf course humps by the west side of the dam.

Thanks for the link but I found this already. The link to http://www.lonestarlakes.com/map/guestmap.php?map=lewisville is no good. The domain is up for sale so the old link is not helpful.

I would ask for more info but I would hate for you to have to do much else since your so lazy.

Perhaps someone else on here could lend some newer info as to the location of the "gravel pits".

Navionics will tell you where they are at since you don't appreciate the help of others.

That’s not what I meant at all. I meant I was too lazy to search the site or google things for you

I do appreciate the help of other which is why I requested the advice of people on this forum. From the post of Notaguide I took it as he was calling himself lazy and he could find the info so I should be able to find it too.

I had found it but as I stated "Thanks for the link but I found this already. The link to http://www.lonestarlakes.com/map/guestmap.php?map=lewisville is no good.".

Perhaps you should read through a poster's statement before commenting. I do however appreciate your response.

Also, being that this is a "boat rental" trip I seriously doubt the pontoon will have hi-tech graphs such as Navionics.

Download Navionics on your phone. You will have an accurate gps and be able to find the spots you want to fish even on the Pontoon w no electronics. Mark the way points of the spots you want to hit sitting on your couch!
