Any thoughts about the bite after the forecast cold snap Friday night?
I'd guess that the sharp drop in temperature is like most any unstable weather pattern passing through, tough fishing until things settle down.
I'd like to be on the water, and on the fish, Saturday morning. Maybe we ought to give it a day or two before raising our hopes, again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
'Course being on the water beats yard work...

If we finally get some rain there will be a ton of big fish leaving their summertime river hideouts and riding the runoff back down into the lake. Such a drastic change in temps can lock up some fish for a day or so but you never know until you go Ed. Fish and bait will group up a lot better and chances of catching big fish will dramatically increase with each front. Usually the lake starts to mix around this time of year which makes em scatter and messes up the bite real good for a few weeks. The lakes aren’t turning yet but we do have a full moon coming which also messes up the daytime bite. I’m taking my 4 yr old Sunday morning and I’m keeping my fingers crossed I can hang one biggun before it gets too cold for him to tag along!
