" I want you to have just enough line out that when your rod tip is six to eight inches off the surface of the water, there’s slack in your line so you know your bait is resting on bottom. As slowly as you can, I want you to lift your rod two to three feet from wherever it is you’ve found bottom, then pause for a good three to five seconds. Typically, this is when you’ll get bit. Watch the line beneath your rod tip very closely, as you will not feel the bite in most cases. If you’re holding the rod dead still and all of a sudden you see the line go slack, set the hook. This is how you’ll catch most of your fish today.”

Thanks for the tip Lane! I used this for the first time at Bardwell yesterday and slayed them!

Awesome story, Laner! My wife is an editor and writer. I read your book like a love story for men. Well-written and very captivating. I enjoyed every minute of it and even think my wife would approve of your work! fish bannana2 food

I appreciate all the kind feedback gentlemen. I really would like to put all these stories together one day, plus some tips and tricks on how I catch fish year around. Does any of my TFF friends know how to get stuff published?

You should write a book. You have good story telling skills. I felt like a super action hero that need to conquer Cedar Creek after reading that chit. That is a lot of fish. thumb

Laner,
I googled “hunting and fishing publishers”. You’re really good! Please consider sending some of your work to these companies. Good luck 👍 [Linked Image]
