We weren't fishing for sandbass Saturday morning but we did get into a giant school of sandies while going after the largemouth. We were fishing in one of the small pockets off the main lake, north shore, about a mile north of Rockledge. Sandies had the shad pushed into the back of the pocket and stayed on top for about 30 minutes. This was around 10am. Shad were about 2 inches long. They basically ignored a 1/2 ounce rattletrap because it was too big. We worked our way along that north shore and the sandies would pop up in just about every one of the small pockets.

Nice report ... south winds for days, plus shad bunching up near cove mouths in the fall, = good feeding frenzies
Never do card tricks for the group you play poker with.
