I lived 90 miles from Yellowstone in Idaho Falls. World class fly fishing at Henrys Fork.
Amazing area but glad to be back in Texas.

Tks. We stayed in a cabin at the Colter Bay Village in the Tetons. Rustic, simple, with a really good restaurant. There is also RV and tent camping there. Another place to stay is Jackson Lodge which is about 6 miles south of Colter Bay. More modern, a very nice place, but more crowded than we like. There are not many routes around or through the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone. Check it out on Google Maps. When we do it again we'll spend several nights at Colter Bay Village, several nights at Old Faithful Inn near the geysers, and probably finished off in West Yellowstone to trout fish the Madison river.

Wow. I know some people who go at least once a year... now I know why!
