Apparently these are no joke.

Knocked one of my guys out for the day. Pumped him full of Benadryl and aspirin. He’s got his wife able to look after him and monitor him for the day.

The hair on these things are poisonous so be aware and stay away.

Yep. I learned to fear them a long time ago. I've leaned on them twice on porch railing. They'll light you on fire like nothing else out there.

They definitely hurt, but I cannot imagine being knocked out for more than 30 minutes after getting stung by one.

Just like a bee or wasp sting. What might be a minor inconvenience for one may be a life-threatening situation for another.

Those asp stings are no joke. One of the best life lessons Learned as an 8 yr old. Don't need any Caterpillar type for fish bait. Still get popped on accident on occasion though.
