That is not a disaster.
Golden algae blooms cause disasters. Oil spills in the gulf from busted wells or tankers cause disasters. A few dozen dead bass from an 80 friggin thousand acre reservoir is a fart in the wind.
Here comes the "it happens every weekend response." It doesn't matter what logic anyone provides, there will always be something to b---- about with some of you folks.

Well Jimmy when you can guarantee me a water temp on a certain date let me know. It is October and this tournament was scheduled 8 months ago..
How did all the fish survive when you fished the API in July a few years?
Don't remember a post on those tournies.
Just sayin..

That title is misleading I thought I was going to see Bass boats with sheared off gear cases from hitting the old Veleno Bridge . An Ice chest full of bass is cheap for the economic impact that tournament had on Zapata.

Tournaments kill fish. It is what it is. If you fish tournaments you cant have your cake and eat it it too.

So another 20+ tomorrow with a 10(9.82) couple 6-7s bunch of 3-4’s not a problem? Ya it is. Just don’t have tourneys in this heat when people won’t take the time to care for them keep in mind, each year the spawn produces millions more fry than the lake can sustain...

Those fish are from the San Antonio city tournament. Improper fish care and a poor decision by the organizers to have a tournament here with water temps still high and fish deep and air temps still around 100 That sucks !

I like the fact that those fish are going to be eaten. Most of the time they are dumped to float away. Bass are good to eat so no event should ever waste them.

disaster is in the eye of the beholder if you have tournaments in the heat of the summer you will lose some fish just to be fair in the great scheme of things tournament fishermen kill a lot more fish than the meat fishers do . in most tournaments if a fish can move any at all it is deemed a live fish.
