Wife out of town and no tourney this weekend so considering going and hitting Roberts hard. Probably put in at Buck one day and hit all the interesting structure down there (never have). This is the area lake that has haunted me, live fairly close to it, can do ok pre-fishing then suck wind on tournament day...trying to get over the hump. Wondering if anyone has been out there lately and if its fishing worth a darn, if shad up in creek arms yet. If you know the lake fairly well and want to backseat, message me.

Was there last week, millions of tiny shad everywhere. After the sun came up it was all about the corps brushpiles in 20+ft of water. Mainlake was still much better than the creeks, hopefully that will change with the fronts lined up over the next week or so. We boated 11 fish in a half day but some of those were super dinks, big fish was 6 lbs,

Some of the same observations as Buda. I didn't find bait everywhere but when I did the black and white bass were there. I cranked some of the brush piles with an 8xd and I had one big one hit but pull off. A lot of small black bass schooled up around the shad.

On Sunday I had a water temp of 84 when I put in at Jordan but ran to the dam where it was 82. Lots of shad in the southern end of the lake. Strong winds had 3+ foot rollers crashing into the northern exposed banks so I didn't spend a lot of time there.

I live 10 minutes away from Jordan on 377 and we had 45 minutes of downpour last night. This morning was the coolest morning in a couple of months. With last nights rain and the cooling temps I'm hopeful things will start scattering about soon. Good luck if you go.

I agree with all the above...the fish are kind of staging at the main lake before the coves. Been having success in the trees right before the coves.

Need a better cranking rod as the one I got wears me out when throwing anything bigger that a DT6. AHAHAHAH

Sounds like a west coast excuse there hah!!!! I’ve seen lots of those little baitfish all over the lake from the marina to wolf island and the only fish I’ve found have been about the size of a key chain.

Be sure to leave your valuables out of sight or at home, there’s been a few more burglaries being reported I’ve heard from the sheriffs department.

Thieves suck! Let me catch one breaking in and it'll be a new day of learning for them.

Need to tint my windows darker and double lock everything now. ARHGH!

Had a good morning. Shad patterns up shallow for first hour and then 8 to 15 ft rock is where I found them. Caught 7 keepers and a bunch of dinks, which is better than normal for me on that lake. Couldn't tell that shad were migrating yet in force, water temps 81 or 82 everywhere I went.

Strong weekend on Ray Bob - several big fish, both shallow and deep. Stuck a 5.4 smallie on a brushpile, other fish literally had gizzard shad or crappie tails sticking half way out of their mouths

I was there Saturday morning for a couple of hours and will second your findings. You would think they would be moving shallow and I tried to catch them there for a while but they were just not there. caught a few a little deeper before I had to leave.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

As the the great Lindsay Roberts used to say..... when the Monarch butterflies start coming through.... Ray Roberts will get good. I live north of the lake and they are.

And I know who "Jeff" is.
