Short notice but Iā€™m planning on heading to Ray Roberts in the morning and I noticed what looks to be a launch point on Clover Rd just off of 922 by the bridge on google satellite. Is that a place where I can launch a yak from from anyone in the know?

Not sure on Clover Road. But I do know that Pecan Creek Boat Ramp is a nice ramp to launch.

According to the Grayson CAD the old county rd easement still exists past the turn around and running under the lake. The property to the west (131378) and to the northeast (131374) are owned by the COE. The property to the east (131373) is privately owned. I think you'd be OK launching there, at the very least it's worth a drive to check it out.

Good place to get you truck broken in to. Or things stolen from.

Are you speculating or do you have knowledge of the area? I ask because it looks like a promising launch into productive waters (I used to fish that exact area when I had a boat).

I have parked the three times and had things stolen out of my truck twice. The last time it looks like they took a bar or screwdriver and tried to break in to my truck.

Sign me up!

It could be the same guys who were hitting the marina from a jon boat in the middle of the night. They got them on video, but it was not good enough quality to positively ID them.

It's amazing to me... We have crystal clear pictures from Mars (140 million miles away) while survalliance footage all accross the county looks like it's from 1950!

I've put in there tons of times. Think I've only been there once this year - early in the year. Never had a problem with anyone bothering my vehicle. With the lake up, it's a short haul to the water going to the North West of the turnaround and that spot is a real shallow flat that runs out a ways. When the lake was much lower was a long haul due north of the turn around. There's a road bed that goes from that put in straight north and we used to crappie fish that quite a bit and have caught some good bass along that road bed too. I've always wanted to venture all the way across to those coves to the north but never made it as I've always fished the areas east and west of the put in. Some day I will do that. A long time ago I put in from the opposite (north) side where you see the road dead end but that's a long haul to the water! Anyhow, I never caught lots of bass in that area but crappie was always good in the trees along that road bed. But I believe the bass are in there! Just looks too good!
