All really good advise The tv will be tucked away in a protected corner, but yes, I didn’t spend much on the TV knowing what Texas UV and weather can do
The recliner commode fridge toaster oven will be front and center.

Roku and your favorite streaming service. We use YouTube TV.
I’m ready for the weather to cool down so we can spend some time back porch sitting.

I have a 50 inch mounted on my patio. It is in the far back corner of my back yard. My Fios router does good with it. My spectrum router was not as good, but 1 spectrum was always down anyway. I stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and you tube to it
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....

We have Spectrum internet/cable
1. Hard wire--most labor intensive, but probably get the best cable data speed
2. HDMI transmitter--read some less than encouraging reviews on their signal/data transmission strength.
3. Google WiFi mesh Router to relay and boost signal outside to reduce lagging, etc
Then, download Spectrum app to TV
I'm thinking option #3.
Anyone use that router or other Wifi booster to wirelessly watch a TV outside or in the garage?
wait. people actually pay for TV?

I tried my Dish any where on my TV at the lake house and it is really slow and it takes 2 routers to do it . The one at the house and the one at the lake house . Works better using the Dish anywhere app on the TV at the lake house . You just have to have a smart TV and some kind of pay TV like dish or direct to log into after they send you a code .
May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

Update. Got the Google mesh 4 pack from Costco. Walmart sells the three pack and the single pack. Downloaded the Spectrum app to the TV.
WiFi speed around the house much improved. No lagging when watching live TV with this set up. Very happy. Got three outdoor director chairs with attached side table/beverage holder that my wife will love.
Anyone want to come over for patio beers?

So do you plug all 4 devices into an Ethernet cord? Or does one main device bridge the other 3 wireless with just a power connection? Our Spectrum wifi router is terrible.

The google mesh install/set up is simple. Just plug the puck transmitters into an AC outlet. My wife accomplished the set up in 20 minutes while I was outside drilling into brick.

Good deal. Buffering live tv on YouTubeTV is getting brutal. I hope this helps. Plenty of speed, just the connection has got to be terrible.
