My five year old Cabellas AGMs (made in China) finally gave up the ghost this weekend. Not bad for an import. What brand (other than Duracell) should I consider? Has anyone tried Banshee yet?

Went to all Walmart brand Everstart deepcycles. Reason being is they are relatively cheap and if any issues arise they will replace them with no question. Supposedly the new ones you dont even need the receipt anymore. It's all documented on the battery. They did tell me however that popping the tops would void the warranty. I asked how I was supposed to maintain the water levels and they said the new ones are maintenance free. Any issues arise just bring it in for a replacement. Walmarts are everywhere and most are 24hrs. Seems like a no brainer.

BTW...some have 1yr warranty and the max I think have 2yr warranty.

I just bought the Duracell AGM Marine batteries. 18 months free replacement.

Ken Owens Batteries in old town Lewisville on Mill Street. Good prices and I've had mine for 3 years.
