I broke down and bought one of those back yard ovens...with the smoker attachment. smokeroasted some ribs and pork butt. I have to say it was PDG. Lot less hassle. so far I'm a fan. Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

I've had a Masterbuilt smoker for several years. Works great. I modified mine to accept more wood to the smoker. Don't have to check it so often.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

When you showed the stand to your wife, did she see that middle board and say "once again, you came up three inches short!!!" ?  Looks fine to me though and enjoy the smoker.
