K so last minute decision. Not from down there and a little drive but going down that way tomorrow and was planning to hit lake Waco which have only been to once in the last. but would also be very interested in hitting the Brazos river but know nothing about it. Any suggestion to which would be more worth the while would be great! Fishing in a 21 ft bass boat. Thanks!

Waco is better fishing, if it isn’t too windy.

If you go to the river be sure to honor the NO WAKE ZONES, they will get your TX numbers. The wind has been rough for the past five day's. I was out last Friday on LakeWaco and put my hands on 10 bass but I spent a good bit of times fighting the wind. Every fish came in water 3' to 5' deep, water temp was in the low 80's

I launched on the Brazos last Monday I thought the sign said no wake period? It kinda threw me off when there were marker buoys at the bridges saying no wake since I thought it was all no wake?

So you did take your son to fish the Brazos around Baylor Stadium? How did y’all do?

He flaked, I went for about 2 hours, I didnt catch anything, I didnt fish a lot, tried around the docks, some points and on the way back out tried some brush piles I marked on my way in. I beat the bank at a few shaded areas also.

The NO WAKE ZONE is in the downtown area and around Brazos East boat ramp. If you go up river you can get on plan until you get a good ways up then it's get shallow. If you go up the Bosque River to the back side of the dam you can run also but most people only run about 40 mph
