Does any one use long rods for catfishing? If so I’d like to hear about how y’all use em and also which ones you own. Thinking about getting a couple of WS 9’6” H FMJ rods for outside drift rods or for the planer rods. Hopefully someone is already running poles this way and can offer up some info... texas

I use my trusty Ugly Stik Catfish rods. Paired with my super smooth Shakespeare spinning reels. TWO bearings in those bad boys.

Thats all I got Blue. partyon

I use 10ft proanglers on outside rods. The work great on twok fish, but a little too much for lewisville fish. I’m trying to finder a lighter action rod for Lewisville.

I also have 2 12ft rods. They are too long to deal with in the boat. You want em?

Jimmy Hendricks my brother from another motherI appreciate the offer amigo!..I think 12 ft is too long though. I don’t want to have to break em down. Was hoping to hear from someone with the 9’6” whisker seeker. We need to meet up so I can give you some whisky and get Littlefeathers rods. I’m fishing Sunday cheers

Y’all know I’m an open book when it comes to where I fish. Curtis knows how i pattern fish, he can probably guess my first 3 spots just looking at a map. With the north wind Im gonna check 1 shallow spot on the west side of the dam first. Then the humps in main lake Serj. I’ve marked some big ones on those ledges past couple of trips. If we can’t get em going then we’ll head north up the channel till we find em. North wind Sunday so it’s either gonna be boom or bust! What side of the south end will y’all be on?

E G I'm on The Colony side between the golf courses...Very good area thumb....I'm still trying to master guessing the catfish size down according to my side scan but I'm pretty sure I saw some big ones mixed in with those nice 5 and 6 pounders I caught Sunday thumb

I never fish that side of the lake Serj...we need to get together and do some fishin!! cheers I’ve been marking some big fish last 3 weeks but haven’t been able to get em going. We had a good one hooked up last week but the 6/0 hook came unbuttoned when we got him to the surface. I got 8/0 hooks on this week. texas
