Going for the first time today with a small 10ft 2 man bass boat. Where should I fish and where should I dock? Thank you in advance.

Caddo Lake or Caddo National Grassland? Two totally different things, and very different answers.

To get there, are you driving north west of McKinney, or north east of McKinney?

You pretty much have 2 choices. Launch at coffee mill or launch at lake crocket. Only 1 location at both lakes and that's the boat launch. I couldn't tell you about the fishing in either as I've not done it in years. Good luck.

Was thinking of heading up there for the first time this weekend or next... Based on the shoreline I saw in both lakes when driving up there, drop the TM and just fish!

Lake Crockett has become one of my new favorites. You will catch fish. If it is on you can catch a butt load. As David said, launch your boat and fish. Lake Crockett is loaded with reeds and both branches have a lot of grass. The headwaters of both branches have a lot of matted grass with the west branch the best concentration. We have been catching most of fish in the west branch. We have been using anything from swim jigs, underspins, lightly weighed senkos and small swim baits. All shad colored. Using light weighted shakey head for pitching reeds.
