Anyone know off hand if a track created on a 997 can be exported to a card and imported to the new units like helix, and solix. Thanks

With the helix you can transfer them to a card and put it in the helix and they will load to the unit. If you transfer them to a solix they will need to be formatted for Gpx files. The core units use a Matrix file

Helix and number series units export and import GPS data in a MATRIX folder.
SOLIX and ONIX units export and import GPS data as separate GPX files.
You cannot interchange between the two methods. You can use HumminbirdPC to manage between the two methods.

SOLIX's main format is GPX files.
But I do believe SOLIX units allow you to select USR(not V5 or V6), .HWR and .HT files to import.
