Early Nov 1986. I had recently been diagnosed with Type I Diabetes.
I had been thinking of joining the Army and getting a Commission, well those plans we're done. .
I sat in bed with a loaded 1911 in my lap.thinking about my Aunt (Mom's twin sister). She had been diagnosed as Diabetic in the mid 1940s. She was now blind in both eyes, lost a couple toes on one foot and about half of the other foot due to complications.
I didn't want to live, or die, like that.

1986, had a daughter die due to heart defect. She only lived a year and a half but she taught me more about life than anybody else ever could. It was a low time but I’m a better man that came out of it. This was more of a joke post but we lost ours 4 years ago. 2 1/2 years old and it still hurts every day.

What are some of the lowest points in your life that you care to share?
Ever found yourself eating spaghettios w/meatballs out of a can for breakfast? I discovered the greatness of canned spaghetti with a tuna fish sandwich 40 years ago. It’s an awesome combination and I’m not kidding.

Well this thread made me feel pretty dang good about my life.
And I tried scetty ohs for breakfast for the first time this morning and discovered a fine new breakfast food!

Lost my second daughter, Jamie at birth. Perfect pregnancy right up until delivery. Doc said umbilical cord was compressed and cut off blood to baby. Worst day of my life. October 28th 1993. I think of her everyday.

Woke up in parkland one time with no clue what was going on . Rest of that story is for over drive way beers.
The other one was when my ex wife told me she was pregnant and I didn’t have anything to my name ..
