Yep NBC ... we can get daggered to the ear drums all night by Chris Collinsworth. He's a beating. His slide in intro is pretty solid.

Isn't it amazing how you lose channels and never get a reduction in your monthly bill!!!!

Just got off the phone with Dish network over the loss of the Fox broadcast. Told them I thought it was BS that I'm paying for channels that I'm not getting to watch. Gave me a 30 dollar bill credit for 2 months and set me up for an antenna install to be able to pick up the local channels free of charge and it knocks the 12 dollars a month local channel charge off my bill. Install of antenna is free of charge.

The quasi-monopolies allowed for cable companies is dumb. ATT Uverse has been in fights with CBS and NFL network this year. Itโs ridiculous. They arenโt lowering my bill, either.

Suddenlink is just as bad.
Doesn't seem like there is any competition in Internet/TV providers.
you get what you get and they really don't care.

Love my Dish . I had Direct for nearly 20 years and after AT&T bought them out our bill went thru the roof . Switched to Dish a year ago . Lot more free channels like my Stars western channels . Even have Dish anywhere app so I can watch it for free at the lake house TV , and on my laptop . Direct has none . Our bill went from $189.00 a month with Direct to $89.00 with Dish . Plus we can record on any TV in our house with Dish and we could only use the main one with Direct . And just heard Direct is selling to Dish because thousands a day are switching to Dish and the are about to go out of business . Just like all providers the networks like Fox are greedy and trying to get a lot more money from them . One reason we still have a old school antenna at our house . Watch Fox for free .

Just a hint for those trying to set up a outside antenna . Make sure you locate the local TV stations as to were the are located . When pointing your antenna towards the make sure you point the wide part of it that way . I always thought you pointed the point of the antenna at it - Wrong . Then do a channel search on your TV .

Those old school antennas are a dime a dozen if you can find one , and work just as good if not better than a high dollar one you find on the internet . We bought a new one at the lake house and paid around 65 bucks for it and it was just OK . My son brought me his old one and we hooked it up an the roof and I got 72 channels right of the bat .

They mentioned being able to drop the Dish local channels to save $12 a month. Won't work for me as I have one receiver that I use at my lake house and as someone else stated, local channels there pretty much suck.

When pointing your antenna towards the make sure you point the wide part of it that way . I always thought you pointed the point of the antenna at it - Wrong . Then do a channel search on your TV . In the analog days it was opposite. Now with digital TV you utilize what use to be the UHF side and point it towards the towers. I might have to try the big antenna at the deer lease. On the phone wit Dish this morning. Only way I got through was tech service. Talked to him for a while then transferred to customer loyalty. I got a carppy $5 credit for losing Fox. They would not even extend it to 3 months. They tell I am not eligible for the OTA antenna yet they say I am in the top tier of customers. They got a nice follow up email. We have 2 Direct TV set ups at deer lease. It may come down to who do I hate more ATT or Dish.

You know that you can get that on a Firestick Pro and plug it into one of the HDMI ports on the tv. Comes with a remote so that you donโt even have to get off of your lazy butt to change the channel on the app. I run Dish Anywhere on a 72 inch tv at the lake.

I might be one of the six, but I wanna watch KU vs TCU.
Not happy.

I wore Dish out today with 2 emails and phone calls. Not happy with them. Do you think the FTC will approve a Dish and Direct merger?
