Just got back from getting her dominant arm shoulder scoped. Scar tissue and a partial tear of the RC.

She's pretty doped up right now. Seems to have a lot of pain. Anyone been through this before?

Any rotator cuff tear is excruciatingly painful. Pamper her and keep the pain meds current.

Surgery recovery period can be lengthy.

Yeah, the doc gave her oxycontin. Thought that stuff was off the market.

If I dropped mine off out there, would you sit her for a few weeks?

Get one of those fancy electric recliners that you can lay down almost horizontally. I slept in one for a few weeks after my shoulder surgery and wasn't ready to admit that i was healed up enough to get back in the bed. Best few weeks of sleep i've had in a long time.

I'm worried about her folding clothes and washing dishes ... we'll see. I'll post follow ups.

Show her that post and she may get her strength back in arm.

Give her an oxy and tell her to get back in the kitchen cause a man has to eat!

Scope is not near as bad as going in through an incision to work on the RC. Dr. sent home a door pully so I could start moving my arm the next day

Ice is her best friend. I have had both a scope and a full open surgery on the right one and ice gave me more relief than any pain medicine. Read up on using ice for pain relief and follow the time guidelines. Hope she heals quickly and her pain level drops fast.
