I wasn't able to fish last weekend so despite the fact that the winds were forecasted to be 13+, I decided to go fishing with my buddy Neil. At first the lake looked ok so we optimistically (stupidly) decided to head to Table Rock. As you can see from the video conditions were bad, so we went back to our original plan which was fish in the sheltered cove by the dam and thump the humps. Our buddy and fellow Thumper met us at our first spot. We hooked and lost a box, hooked some overs and a couple of more box fish and both of us lost fish to broken lines. We had to take Greta to shore to take care of business and went to a new spot in deeper water closer to the dam. We were there for about 10 minutes and the fish hit one after the other. Ernesto had forgotton his phone so we drove out to him and brought him to where we were. We finished out our limit + 4 decent box and 2 gut hooks that we kept. All in all was a great trip especially for never having fished that part of the lake before. A few pictures and will post the video after it compiles...

Hey! I saw you guys.. I was out Sunday as well with an old combat buddy. We were fishing with Striper Express. Heck of day! We boated an amazing number of fish... had a blast.

Awesome, I was armored cavalry for 13 years, but all before or outside of the sandbox! I am no where near a guide's level of expertise just like to fish! Hit me up if you ever want to go fishing, I go every weekend!

I'll be out there this Saturday. I hope the wind isn't as bad as last week since I will be staying all the way up at Texoma Lodge off of hwy 70. I didn't have much luck last week, so I hope to find the spot this week.

I plan to be out there also. Looks like we are going to have a little breeze. All the Dallas stations and Accu Weather seem to be pretty much in agreement at 10-15 which really means 10-20. Channel 4 is just showing breezy. There is a little disturbance moving to the north Friday night. I am putting in at Lighthouse so it should not bother me too much as long as the fish are on the south side.

I made it down to Platters in the wind last week, but that was far enough for the waves. I guess I'll see if the north side will pay off.

I can’t fish this weekend due to honey do list but would recommend fishing up by the dam. Plenty of points, ledges and humps to try and wind will not be blowing toward you.

I don't fish the dam much. When I do I normally fish off the SE point off the island. I will have to try to find some humps. May start off Preston.
