 Motor in limp mode 2013 Merc 90 optimax

Help......boat in limp mode with intermittent beep. Manual shows cooling or oil problem. Oil tank is full and flushed motor several times and is spitting water. Decided to change spark plugs fuel filter, air filter cleaned manual lift pump and tested high and low fuel pump. Cleaned injectors still same thing. Rough idle wonโt go over 2500rpm and beep still there. I think might be bad sensor or something. Any ideas? Can a bad battery cause this? Boat currently at shop to get plugged up to computer but they are two weeks out.

Good idea caring the boat to the shop to get it checked. Hate to spend the $$$$ myself but could save you in the end...

A tech with a computer will help a lot. Yes, it very well could be a sensor! Computer will help pinpoint what it is that's yelling at you. They'll go from there.

Thx Gary I will check that next. If I get a new tank and put it on will the beep stop and run fine or does it have to be reset by computer.

So boat shop called and said it is #3 injector failure and significant amount of water in fuel. Is there a place around Fort Worth that I can take fuel and air injectors to clean and calibrate. What is a decent price for this?
