Just went down 73 towards winnie to Wilbur road to get my mom and sister. They had to get an airboat out to 73 but we got them. We waited about 30 minutes and the water was rising about 4 inches an hour or more. This morning they sent me a picture about 6:30 and you could see a lot of grass, at 10 there was a over a foot. Surprisingly there was a lot of people going thru there. I did see the cajun navy though and they had quite a few air boats to help out. Atleast its slowed down or stopped raining.

A lot of rain at the house in Montgomery, but no flooding on our street or subdivision (Walden) that I'm aware of.

I made the drive into work downtown this afternoon an was able to make it safely without much trouble at all. Hwy 105 > I-45 > Hardy > 610 East > 59 > Jackson Street exit.
My coworker was able to make it back home from downtown to The Woodlands going I-10 > 59 > 610 West > Hardy > I-45

Morning update.

Several barges got loose and hit the I-10 bridge that crosses over the San Jacinto River. I-10 is closed in both directions while they access the damage. No estimate when it will be reopened.

We’re starting to get some more showers here-The Bayou looks like the Trinity River but not too much flooding in my area.

A few puddles in my yard and our ditches are full and flowing.

I found a “High water” sign after Harvey and had to bust it out for the occasion, lol.

News is saying 9 barges broke loose. They’re blaming rising water and fast currents. Duh.....

Only 2 of the 9 hit the bridge. Houston Ship Channel is closed due to strong current. I was a casualty of this yesterday. Left the office in Downtown Houston about 11am. I live 12 miles W off I-10. Took me 90 minutes to get to my exit. Made it there to the intersection where I turn left from Antoine onto Westview. Crawled along and was 3 blocks from my house when a sorry mofo in a big delivery truck, doing about 40 and throwing water 12 feet high, pushed a two foot wave over the hood of my car. I was able to make a quick left turn onto a side street before it swamped out. Wrecker brought it to my house at midnight. It's totaled. bang Fortunately I'm ok and and my house is fine. I would have made it just fine if not for that truck! Spent the next two hours out in the street with four other neighbors keeping the street drains clear of debris so the road could drain. Had plenty of inconsiderate guys in their jacked up p/u's fly through there and shower all of us with water.

Was wondering how you were doing. At least the house and y'all are fine and safe. Cars can be replaced.

That's right, Kattelyn! That's my attitude.

Guess that makes that 'ol sayin idiots are like fly's they're everywhere the truth. Sorry about your car just wish you had time to get a license number. I have a dash cam that would come in handy should something like that happen to me and I'd make good use of it.
