I got 3" overnight at home just off 69N out of Lufkin and I got 2.5" on the SE Loop in Nacogdoches at work.

There were several roads closed last night before 10 PM because of localized flooding but they were all the usual suspects. wink

I spent the morning pulling a guy out of the mud in our parking lot here in Nacogdoches smile wonderful. Don't have a rain gauge here but... it's raining!

I still only had totals of about 3.5" at home in Lufkin and at work in Nacogdoches.

.03 inch.

Our weather "experts" overestimate rainfall by 20,000% in a 2-3 day forecast, but they can tell us what is going to happen in 2030 and 2075.

Your statement is flawed. Climate and weather are totally different things mate.

And tell that to Beaumont area....some areas up to 15"? Well that forecast kept people from leaving and 40"+ later they are all flooded.

Climate is weather over the long term. If we can't predict tomorrow how dependable are forecasts for 50 years from now?

Looks like the rain has caused Rayburn to rise .18' (about 2.25"). It could potentially continue to slowly rise if the lower Neches area around Evadale won't allow any water to be released.

Is water level data like weather, take an average of multiple readings? Water data for Texas shows no rise. Interesting.
