Heading out to bridgeport on friday with my old man and we will be chasing sandbass. It is both of our first times out on the lake. Was looking to see if i could get some advice on what part of the lake to check for early morning topwater bite and what other lures to try out.

Man I have only fished it one time and did find sandies scattered around by the Marinas. We caught some on bass lures randomly. This was in Spring and the water was VERY high.
Let us know how you did!

If you launch at Northside Marina, good luck! Picture doesn’t do it justice and I’m not even at the top of the slope.

I am a Big Crappie fisherman when I go to Bridgeport. But i went out a few times chasing Stripers. Got into a good amount of sandies. If you go to the dam and then work your way away from it you should be able to get a few.
