Anyone ever fish these two lakes for bass. Any information would be great hot spots , water hazards etc.

Old side is kinda shallow and weedy. Has some rocky areas. Typical shallow water baits will get you bit. Fairly simple to navigate. Not a ton of hazards. New side is rockier and deeper. They will hold on deeper rock piles etc. Its an old quarry so run it with caution. Idle if you are unsure.

Fun lakes, full of fish. Good numbers with an occasional good one.

There will be two or three other boats on each of the lakes on a Sat or Sun morning. They are a little less educated than DFW area lakes. The Lost Creek side has fished tougher this year for some reason

The old side fishes decent along the park bank and back the other way. It's has a pretty steep drop off and pitching a shakeyhead or a small creature bait will get you a lot of bites. Nothing too big, but fun especially if your taking a kid. There's also some cattails and weeds you can flip on the old side that hold some fish, but like Mark Perry said, the old side is the shallow side. Nice little lake to fish and get away from the city though.

Small fish is all i've ever done out of them. Like said above, a good place for a kid to catch small ones.
