Yesterday worked out well. Started off throwing a topraider for a few hours from the float tube. Wrong esox species, but still very welcome, with a huge topwater explosion and full body battle to keep it from dragging me int a thick weedbed. Not the biggest pike, but it's gargantuan head could have fit on a fish twice that size.




Followed up with a short carp outing after dark, my sweet dream and fireball boilies did not fail to perform. 3 carp from 23 to 27 lbs in 2 hours

Hey Phil, you need to slow down a bit. You are starting to make the rest of us look bad lol. Those are some great fish. Congrats.

Catching those from the float tube must have made for quite a fight.

Even a 2 lb bass will pull the float tube around. Have not tried carp from the float tube yet, as it's nearly impossible to remain stationary. Will eventually bring it along on a carp outing, and hop in to fight some. Should make for interesting footage.

I release the vast majority of carp I catch. Occasionally, I'll keep a smaller one for neighbor.
